June is National Safety Month

2016-06-Newsletter2.v2June is National Safety Month, a time set aside to focus on reducing the leading causes of injury and death in the nation. That covers everything from vehicle accidents and general safety to learning how to render aid to others who find themselves in harm's way. Each week in June focuses on a different area of safety. You can visit the National Safety Council for free safety-related materials. June 1-7 is also CPR and AED Awareness week. The intent of this campaign is to help encourage people to learn CPR and to become familiar with the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). Both of these life-saving interventions can be easily learned. In fact, there are often classes held in communities all across the nation, including many helpful online resources. There are many things in life we cannot control, but the theme of this month is to learn how to intervene when we can make a difference. Please share these resources with your family and friends€”it could save a life! Health Tip: CPR
